I actually really like the way these pictures turned out, despite the piece of hair hanging in my eyeball. I don't know why I never noticed this. I don't know why my photographer didn't notice this. Brother. But I like them anyway. Apparently gray, wintery days suit me well.

This past weekend I headed out to Springfield for an overnight of Birthday Trifecta festivities. It was so completely exactly what I needed. Last week I was stressed and frazzled, so an entire day filled with nothing but laughs, shopping, and mani pedis is exactly what the doctor ordered. There is just nothing like hanging out with a group of awesome girls to help you de-stress! Shopping and spa treatments don't hurt either. ;)
I actually got a gel manicure when we went to our spa appointments on Saturday, and I am obsessed. It dries instantly, so no worries about smudging when you go to pay, and it's supposed to last up to two weeks without chipping! We're two days in and they look as good as they did on day one. This may become an expensive habit.
